Assad doubts existence of al-Qaeda
KUWAIT CITY (AP) - Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview published Sunday that he doubts the existence of al-Qaeda, the terror group blamed for the Sept. 11 attacks and recent strikes in Saudi Arabia and Morocco.

"Is there really an entity called al-Qaeda? Was it in Afghanistan? Does it exist now?" Assad asked, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anba.


Such speculation is popular among some in the Arab world who say Washington has manufactured or exaggerated the threat posed by al-Qaeda in order to paint Muslims as dangerous.

There is no Terrorist Organization Called Al Qaida

…Nese Düzel from Radikal (a Turkish newspaper) asked this question and more on Al Qaida to Mahir Kaynak, a former academic and a former intelligence officer. He has suggested different and debateful views, which will be summarized in this article.


Further more he argued that there is no Al Qaida. According to Kaynak, Al Qaida is the name of the operation carried out by an intelligence service, which is CIA…With this operation an anti-Islam front among the peoples of the world is tried to be created.

Al-Qaeda is the CIA file name given to the rebels that fought the Russians in the Afghan war from 1980 to 1989. They were led by Osama back then and financed by CIA black ops programs and Saudi Oil money. After the war ended the US had no one left to justify increased military spending due to a percieved threat. Sales of arms decreased and Al-Qaeda was re-created to justify a worldwide terrorism threat and increased spending. As of today there is more then a trillion dollars unaccounted for in the Pentagon. This money (some) went to programs to create a threat. Mercenaries were hired (mostly Arab) and were told that the would be fighting America who is the great satan and the threat to Muslims.

Our enemy was created by the Neo-Cons and to this day continues to kill American soldiers and innocent Iraqis that are clueless to this clever scheme. It is war with no end. It is a fact that the Oil/Natural Gas in the Caspian Sea is worth somewhere between 1 and 2 trillion dollars maybe more. To get that N.G. to India to supply the one of the largest powerplants in the world required a pipeline that crossed Afghanistan. The Taliban Govt negotiated with the US Govt reps over this pipeline from 1998 through 2000 and required too much in return and was told that it would go through one way or the other. How convenient that Osama just happened to live in a cave there on 911.

Well of course I knew that, everyone knows that. I'm saying if al-Qaeda doesn't really exist and is a creation of the CIA, then what were those trainning camps run by bin Laden up until the invasion? Ya know, the camps they show on tv all the time where dudes practice warfare. Those were run by al-Qaeda.

If any one of us gets picked up at a demonstration or 9/11 freedom march or something like that, under the Patriot Act we are suspected terrorists, and therefore we are suspected of being part of Al Qaeda.

The way I know it, al-Qaeda, which means 'the base', was the name used by bin Laden and his mentor to keep track of fighters coming in and out of Afghanistan to fight the Soviets. Around 10 years later when he returned to fight the American's, they had no name, they didn't call themselves anything. Then after 9/11 they were labeled as al-Qaeda because it was easy.

Since the U.S. and their media co-conspirators are very good at what they do, most likely those videos were older then they appeared to be. What makes you think that those camps are recent. They could be from the 80's and early 90's. Please don't trust your TV for anything truthful. Keep an open mind, and look at who benefits. CNN was recently kicked out of Iran for completely misinterpreting a speech of the Iranian ambassador. I personally saw CNN give a complete redaction of what Iran accused them of. Watch the video of Bush introducing Porter Goss as the new director of the CIA. In it Bush says Goss will lead the way in the hunt for Bin Laden and you can watch Goss laughing in the background.
