He gave an interesting comparison to Vietnam. He said that when we went into Vietnam in 1963, they said the war would be over in 2 years. From 1963-1965 we lost 2000 troops. But, from 1965-1973 we lost over 50,000 troops. He said we could be in Iraq upwards of 20 years before the Iraqi military would be able to fully take over from US forces.
