Research On FAA Destroyed Tapes

An EXTREMELY important story about the FAA that isn't spoken of as it should be.

Controllers' 9/11 Tapes Willfully Destroyed

F.A.A. Official Scrapped Tape Of 9/11 Controllers' Statements
http://www.yourbbsucks.com/forum/sho...2004#post22004

From the first report "Sometime between December 2001 and February 2002, an unidentified Federal Aviation Administration quality assurance manager crushed the cassette case in his hand, cut the tape into small pieces and threw them away in multiple trash cans, the report said."

From the second report "But officials at the center never told higher-ups of the tape's existence, and it was later destroyed by an F.A.A. official described in the report as a quality-assurance manager there. That manager crushed the cassette in his hand, shredded the tape and dropped the pieces into different trash cans around the building, according to a report made public today by the inspector general of the Transportation Department."

What qualifies as suspicious behavior? Or tell me it’s not and why. I would love to put things like this behind me.

Did any of these individuals come before the 9/11 Commission?

The 2nd report says "a spokesman for the 9/11 commission, Al Felzenberg, said that Mr. Mead's report was "meticulous" and "came through the efforts of a very conscientious senator." He said the commission would not comment now on the content of the report but that it "does speak to some of the issues we're interested in."

But did they speak to the individuals involved? Publicly, for the world to see?

Here is the page for the 9/11 Commission Memoranda For The Record (MFRs). Descriptions of each interview for each witness brought forward...

https://www.archives.gov/research/9-...memoranda.html

I don't think Al Felzenberg ever made a comment, and I do not see a reference to this in the 9/11 Report. I did a search for the word "tape" all through the report and none of them had anything to do with this.

The 1st report states "The Sept. 11 commission learned of the tape during interviews with New York air traffic control center personnel between September and October." Which NYATC mentioned something about it? Were the individuals involved brought forward to testify publicly?

So, I went through all of the FAA MFRs looking for a mention of the destroyed tapes.

Here's the MFR for "FAA Employee #1"

Those are all of the MFRs pertaining to the FAA. None of them mentioned the destruction of the tapes.

The tape was destroyed by Kevin Delaney, the Center's quality assurance manager.

Mike McCormick, the Center Manager, was the one to ask the six controllers to make the tape.

Apparently, the 9/11 Commission did speak to them.

Here is the MFR for Kevin Delaney.

According to Delaney, employees did meet in a "conference room to tape their perspectives on what occurred that morning," but there is no mention of the destruction of the tape.

There is no mention of the destruction of the tape in this MFR.

I tried to reach out to Al Felzenberg here...
https://penntoday.upenn.edu/experts/alvin-felzenberg

But he's no longer affiliated with them. I called Julie Sloane, and all she could do was pass along a message to him letting him know that I had an interest in speaking with him.

That's the best I can do. Regardless, they should have been made to testify publicly for the world to see and that never happened.
