Cheney follows up on Bush's World War III comment

U.S Vice President Dick Cheney has warned of serious consequences if Iran does not comply with the West's demands to halt sensitive nuclear work.

At a conference of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Mr Cheney gave the clear warning: “We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon".

Only days ago President George Bush warned that a nuclear-armed Iran could lead to World War III.

This time, Mr Cheney said the international community would punish Iran if it did not conduct itself more responsibly with its approach to nuclear weapons, respect for the sovereignty of its neighbours and compliance with international agreements.

He repeated Washington's criticism that Iran was interfering in Iraq and preventing stability in the region.

Looks like the marching orders have been issued, the Bush-Cheney-Israel trifecta have all inacted the WW3 arguement within the same time frame.
