Prompt and conducive decisions saved Pakistan after 9/11: Musharraf

NEW YORK: President Musharraf has said that prompt and conducive decisions saved Pakistan from being singled out as a potential terrorist threat, while also safeguarding the interests of expatriate Pakistanis.

Speaking to a delegation of PML (Q) America, led by Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, at the Roosevelt Hotel on Monday, he said that the government would address all the grievances and problems of expatriate Pakistani Community on priority basis.

Several other high-ranking notables like, State Minister for Housing Asif Nikkei, MNA Rehman Naseer, Ajmal Cheema, president PML (Q) American Chapter Dr. Naseem, secretary general Malik Sikandar, Federal Information minister Muhammad Ali Durrani were also present.

President Musharraf lauded the selfless and zealous role played by the expatriates in the development and progress of the Country, and paid tributes to outstanding performance of PML (Q), America in advancing the National causes, and said that the present PML (Q) government in Pakistan strived for good governance, and alleviating the problems of masses.

Talking to Online exclusively afterwards, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain and president PML (Q) Dr. Naseem said their half hour meeting with President Musharraf had been quite useful, in which the President has lauded the National services of the Pakistani Community in America, expressing full support of PML for Musharrafs endeavors, which have contributed significantly to development and progress of Pakistan.
