I should probably take that back. This appears to be within the area of expertise of Professor Eagar, at least from what I can discern from his CV.

It is not really for me to question the motivations for his demeanor and attitude toward this subject of the collapses.

However, from a scientific point of view, he is on thin ice with regard to various assertions and omissions in the Eagar-Musso (2001) article (see at link a couple of posts earlier).
