Video: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (2002 anti-Chavez coup)

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

The story of the 2002 anti-Chavez coup and how the poor and the military saved their President and the Revolution.

This has finally gone up on GoogleVideo (previously only the first half was available).

    THIS IS A MUST WATCH!

Answer this question. Do you think you would see George W. Bush openly parade through public crowds like that nowadays?

I don't think he ever could (apart from in the immediate aftermath of 911). Not since he was made President.

Hell, at his initial inauguration in Jan 01 his car had to speed up and get the hell out of there cos there were so many pissed off people. I still remember laughing my hole off at it.

Well in the obvious way it is - that you have a President so hated by now probably a majority of the population who is still a President and still carrying out his policies.

But it would be a helluva lot sadder to me if Bush enjoyed the kind of support for his policies* as Chavez does for his! That would paint a VERY BAD picture of the Ameircan people to those of us on the outside.

Thankfully, he enjoys no such levels of support anymore.

Remember this is a president who had to intern without trial or due process 1000's of protestors in NYC in 2004, and now feels it necessary to spy on peace groups and journalists.

That's very bad, but also very good at the same time if you follow my logic.

I wish it was 9/11 that woke people up though.
