West Lafayette - New images are putting you inside the World Trade Center on 9-11. Purdue scientists are studying the strike and what really brought down the twin towers.
Experts at Purdue's Rosen Center for Advanced Computing are computing a new view of the 9-11 attacks.
Computer scientists studied the strike on the north tower of the World Trade Center for almost three years. Another team used a special program to convert those numbers into numbing visuals.
"You can visualize the important damage done to the core columns," one of the team members reported on a video summarizing the findings.
In a new finding, Purdue experts calculate the sheer weight of the jet fuel badly damaged the building's supports even before the fireball.
"At high speed, liquid can become hard and aluminum can become cutting," said Purdue Professor Christoph Hoffman. "Liquid impact and the debris cut some of the structure, the entry hall and the core and it stripped off some of the fireproofing."
That may have made the building more vulnerable to the fireball, speeding up the deadly collapse. The Purdue team says the visualizations do not support conspiracy buffs who claim bombs brought the building down.
"The conspiratorialists would like you to believe that nobody is investigating these questions and they have been investigated," said Professor Hoffman.
"The Holy Grail of the work like this would be to be able, in real time, when these disasters happen, to estimate the viability of the building. How long will it stand and how long do rescuers have," said Voicu Popescu, who worked on the computer visualizations.
When word of the on-line visualizations first got out, the web site scored 1500 hits per hour, temporarily bringing down the server.

A study using 3-D simulation supports a federal agency's findings about how two hijacked jetliners were able to bring down New York's World Trade Center towers on 9/11.
The two-year Purdue University study shows that when the planes struck the buildings, they stripped away crucial fireproofing material. The weakened towers collapsed under their own weight. A federal agency's analysis focused on damage to the fireproofing, and did not blame the collapse on the design of the towers.
One of the lead researchers on the Purdue study, Christoph Hoffman, says it shows the absolute essential nature of fireproofing steel structures. Hoffman says when the World Trade Center was built the codes did not require steel beams to be fireproofed.
The study shows that the planes' fuel produced a "flash flood of flaming liquid" that knocked out vital structural columns.

I think I'm going to throw up. Regardless of whether or not CD took place at the WTC, now that this simulation exists, and the media is promoting it, we have been "debunked" on this issue, and our credibility is going down the tubes.

I finally got a chance to watch purdue's video - it proves nothing. Fancy smancy - it doesn't show a collapse sequence, NOTHING ABOUT BUILDING 7.
The sheep will continue to follow because they Never want to think for themselves. The critical thinkers will continue to do their research and question everything.
The Purdue video was not that impressive in proving why the towers fell (just good cad)- imho
My point is, it doesn't matter whether it proves or disproves anything. The fact that it even exists is enough. My point is, ENOUGH with CD as being the main point of focus for every single God damned 9/11 event. obviously too many people were paying attention to 9/11 truthers so "they" had to conjure up some scientific crap to play to the public.

Yeah! It may have taken them two years to perfect their little animation - it doesn't prove anything, or disprove anything either. And I DO believe a plane hit the building and it was full of jet fuel - that's all the animation shows.
It's A Propaganda Story - just like the first feature documentary "Why the Towers Fell" which proposed the same theory - that flimsy fireproofing caused the trusses to fail ... which I watched back then and was facinated by .... before I learned the Truth.
So, I am a good example. I bought the bullshit at first, then later heard the truth from someone I trusted, and then did a LOT of internet research on my own .... and I changed my belief.
