That's interesting to introduce Max Cleland into the equation. The 9/11 Commissioner who quit because he thought the Commission was a "Sham" against the American people.

I think it is just a continuation of her attacks against him. In 2004 she tried to downplay his heroism, claimed he almost deliberately hurt himslef in Vietnam, claimed he was not in combat, etc.
