He was on Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace. He said the Geneva Conventions only applied to soldiers who's country sign them, and also fighters who are fighting for a country.
That's one of the reasons the "War On Terror" works so well for them. None of the previous safeguards apply to "Terrorists". If it was a "War On China", or a "War On Russia", then the Chinese soldiers, and the Russian soldiers would be protected by those safeguards. The problem is, a "Terrorist" has NEVER been sufficiently defined. ANYBODY could be a "Terrorist". The other problem is, the more we torture the "Terrorists", the more of our soldiers will be tortured by those "Terrorists".
Yeah, lets say you bring in 50 prisoners. 2 of them are Al-Quaeda and 48 are just ordinary civilians. How do you know who the "terrorists" are? Do you "interrogate" (torture) all of them to find this out?
"Torture" doesn't work. Period. Look at the information received through torture for the Iraq War. It was completely false information. The Bushies knew that at the time of course, and presented it as truth regardless, but you get the idea. John McCain, ass kisser that he is, has said that torture doesn't work. He should know.Quote:
