MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's approval rating currently stands at 87%, according to a poll conducted amongst 1,600 respondents across 46 Russian regions by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Studies (VTsIOM).

Forty-six percent of respondents approved of the work of the State Duma, 47% of trades unions and 38% of political parties.

Of the 10% of respondents who did not approve of Putin. 30% explained their opinion by saying that there had been no real change in the quality of life of Russians, 17% by saying Putin had reneged on his promises, and 7% by saying that he is too western orientated.

Let's see Chavez's and Nasrallah's poll numbers compared to Bush. Not very good.

Well, let's all remember here that Bush says he doesn't run his administration based on popular vote... So I guess that shows.
