It's hard to tell. I look at pictures from the 60's, and I see massive amounts of people in the streets. Today, I don't see it as often as I think I should. Does that make sense?

I was the first person to care. Well, in the poll anyway.

The difference, Gold, is that this time, there's no escaping 9/11 falling on all of America's head, instead of just parts of the government. In order for 9/11 to have taken place the way you say, lots and lots and lots of people needed to be willing to actively forward the plot or turn the other way. The end result of that conspiracy being outed would be way too massive for most common people to be willing to take. Despite the war, and terrorism and hurricanes and immigration and George Bush, America's not that bad a place to be right now, especially when you look at the rest of the world, including Europe. All that can go away fast in the wrong situation.

WHEN i saw the protestors of the 60's they weren't as dedicated as you may think!!!

As for the so-called LEFT today, that delusion died when they all became cheerleaders in GW I...coincidence that Gulf War (Iran I) and Mr Coronated-by-the-Supreme Court both got the same initials???

Re-read Orwell's novel about Reagan's second term...

Honestly I've given up caring. The human race is just as dumb as it has been for hundreds of years. We are devolving yet again into a panicky herd of lemings heading over the cliff of choice. Case in point, every candidate left...no matter how diverse they seem...all play for the same team...and will all make sure to pump us dry without even the common courtesy of a reacharound. Yes...even you Obama"I'm not supported by special intrest yet I appear at AIPAC and then comdemn Jimmy Carter's efforts for peace in the middle east. Fuckin "Uncle Tomberg"

That's almost exactly how I feel. This was broken since before I was born. I tried for a few years to show people and convince them, only to find a buncha sheep who were more concerned with global warming and American Idol. I have since decided they are getting exactly what their lack of caring deserves. When you have a bunch of people immigrating here from third world nations who don't belive in any American principals other than to exploit it. No shock really that we are becoming a third world nation ourselves.
Why is every politician I see filthy rich? How can someone like that be expected to represent MY intrests?

I live in a very small town. All the surrounding towns are very small. I was driving through this town about 2 weeks ago and saw a group of people protesting the war in Iraq. People do still care.

I live in a very small town. All the surrounding towns are very small. I was driving through this town about 2 weeks ago and saw a group of people protesting the war in Iraq. People do still care.It is entirely possible to find people who protest things like the war. The problem is they have elemental flaws in the thought that a mere protest is going to make even the slightest difference in the outcome of anything. The ONLY thing it might accomplish is getting a few of them tased.
Typically this type of person has no understanding of the depth of the problems we are facing right now. The thought is nice and all... But basically ineffectual.
