What is the death count up to now? Was it 10,000 like they were saying?

BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4627288.stm) reports the official death toll as 1,300 - with some 3,200 still missing. I think, given that the USA does not have a thrid world communications infrastructure, that we can presume thse people are also dead. So that's in the region of 4,500 official deaths.

Where did those 3,200 missing people go? I mean damn, are they even looking for them anymore? It's been how many months since Katrina hit? I doubt 3,200 people could have been eaten by crocodiles.

Obviously not.

Then how do you know how long it takes for a crocodile to eat you?

Damn, 3,200 people in just a few months seems a little much. How many crocodiles are there down there?
