As the right of each sentient species to live in accordance with its normal cultural evolution is considered sacred, no Star Fleet personnel may interfere with the healthy development of alien life and culture. Such interference includes the introduction of superior knowledge, strength, or technology to a world whose society is incapable of handling such advantages wisely. Star Fleet personnel may not violate this Prime Directive, even to save their lives and/or their ship unless they are acting to right an earlier violation or an accidental contamination of said culture. This directive takes precedence over any and all other considerations, and carries with it the highest moral obligation.

Aside from the fact that I'm a dork, can anybody tell me why I posted this?

Are you going into space?

Or is it like a metaphore for americans arming the terrorists they are now fighting?

OMG....Is that you??????

I've always thought of you as a "tough guy"

Well... TECHNICALLY I meant that we shouldn't interfere in the way other countries conduct themselves... unless someone really does attack us, or are committing genocide. When I say genocide, I mean what's going on in the Sudan, or what Hitler did, and would have continued doing had we not interfered.

Yep. That's me. A lot of "tough guys" like Star Trek. I happen to know a rather large gentleman who considers himself to be a "Trekkor"... I've never been to a convention, but I did love Star Trek.

Me too TNG was such a good show, it was full of that thing... what do you call it... its been so long...oh yeah morals! It was full of good moral lessons.

I use to like Star Trek to, the movies with Shatner. I meet Spoke once, nice guy. But more than anything I was a HUGE Star Wars fan. Episode 1 killed the legacy though. It's much better when somone else writes and directs those movies other than Lucas.

Yeah It's sad. Can you really ever stop coruption? (new thread?)
