The Moral Of The Story According To Bill O'Reilly

This was snatched from Bill O'Reilly's "Talking Points Memo" from yesterday. I see this as taking the focus away from you know who. Isn't it the Government's responsibility to protect us from danger? Especially on a national level? I thought it was, I could be mistaken. Also, who was the Mayor addressing during his plea for help? I thought it was a general request, not directed to the Governor, but that's how Bill made it seem by editing it in. Also, Bill talked about how we should know from "Common Sense" to leave when a Category 5 Hurricane comes bearing down on us. He mentioned the sick, and the elderly as being the exception, but didn't mention the poor who couldn't afford to leave.

As you can see by this statement (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/03/AR2005090300019.html), "His comments came a day after he was heard on a radio interview erupting in tears and telling the government to "get off your asses and let's do something.", he was addressing the Government, and not just the Governor of Louisiana.

my dad actually quoted bill o'reilly the other day. almost his exact words. he said there were ways for them to get out. take the bus is what he said. i told him they didn' have buses running long enough to get them out. they couldn't get everyone out. and now they won't get everyone out. it's very hard to stand up to someone you live with and say things like "you're an idiot when it comes to caring for people"
