Boyfriend, Girlfriend Arrested In Connection With Man's Death
Victim Was Convicted Sex Offender

GROVE CITY, Ohio -- Police said that they arrested a man and woman Sunday night in connection with a man's death.
Chad Wheeler, of Grove City, and his girlfriend, Shanna Ansel, of Grove City, were taken into custody outside their home, police said.

Wheeler, 24, was charged with murdering Jerry D. Ferrell. Ansel, 21, was charged with kidnapping, police said.
Ferrell, 50, was found dead along Justus Road on Friday morning by a passing motorist, NBC 4 reported.
Police did not say how the two suspects knew Ferrell. No motive was given for the man's death.
Police said Wheeler had a long arrest record.
Ferrell was a convicted sex offender and police said they were checking into whether his criminal past might have played a part in his murder, NBC 4's Karin Hirschey reported.
