Sibel Edmonds, a former paid Turkish language translator for the FBI, has just gone public with a tale of an international nuclear smuggling ring that has been operating successfully inside the United States.

Edmonds gave her testimony in a closed session of Congress and to the 9/11 commission, but nothing came of it. The Ashcroft Justice Department then issued a gag order on her, but because of the serious nature of the situation she opted to tell her story.

Edmonds discovered evidence that countries such as Pakistan have been able to acquire nuclear weapons technology with the knowledge and participation of high-level State Department officials.

Miss Edmonds also told the London Times a related revelation that shed light on one aspect of the 9/11 attack.

Immediately after 9/11 the FBI arrested some suspects — specifically four associates of key targets of the FBI’s counterintelligence operations. Edmonds heard those targets tell a high-level State Department official: “We need to get them out of the U.S. because we can’t afford for them to spill the beans.” The official subsequently facilitated their release from jail. They left the country without incident and have never been interrogated.

I believe it would raise some eyebrows if we could talk to those four fellows and hear what they had to say about 9/11, and identify some of the names we could associate with the “surprise attack.”

Is this a reference to Mossad agents?
