Germany declared war on us in 1941 after the U.S. declared war on Japan for their attack on us at Pearl Harbor.

I think Japan declared war on us just as the attack was taking place. They intended on delivering a declaration of war to the white house minutes before the attack, but were delayed for some reason. The Japanese did not think it was honorable to "sneak attack" someone. I think I have the history straight.
