(Gold9472: Thank God he didn't get killed. We would have had to endure a show funeral for this fascist, murdering bastard.)

A suicide bomber on foot killed and wounded some two dozen people outside the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday during a visit by Vice President Dick Cheney, officials said. The Taliban claimed responsibility and said Cheney was the target.

The blast happened near the first of several security gates outside the base at Bagram, north of the capital Kabul. Cheney's spokeswoman said he was fine, and the U.S. Embassy said the vice president later met with President Hamid Karzai in Kabul.

There were conflicting reports on the death toll. Provincial Gov. Abdul Jabar Taqwa said 20 people were killed, but NATO said initial reports indicated only three were killed, including one U.S. soldier and 1 coalition soldier. NATO said 23 were wounded. It was unclear why there was such a large discrepancy in the reports.

I guess a funeral would be a fair trade...

Is it wrong for me to think this man doesn't deserve to live?

Russian FSB sources are reporting today that an attempt by Special Forces Troops of the United States Military to arrest the American Vice President Cheney shortly after boarding his official plane in Australia has resulted in at least 3 dead and an unknown number of wounded.

These reports state that the United States Air Force, which is in control of the American Vice Presidents plane, sent an ‘urgent’ flash message shortly after takeoff from Sydney, Australia alerting their US Pacific Command (http://www.pacom.mil/) Forces through the United States Worldwide Military Command and Control System (WWMCCS (http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/systems/wwmccs.htm)) network, and which is monitored by Russian Military Forces, of the deaths aboard the plane and requesting ‘orders’.

At the sealed off Sydney airport where the attempt by US Military Forces to arrest the American Vice President occurred the Australian media is reporting:

"Mr Cheney's Boeing 757 was delayed temporarily at Sydney Airport this morning for an unknown reason. As it stood still, revving its engines to make its initial advance towards the runway, it suddenly powered down. (http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/mechanical-problems-hit-cheneys-plane/2007/02/25/1172338456055.html)

The main door opened and the mobile stairwell then immediately returned to the plane, but it was waved off by security personnel. (http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/mechanical-problems-hit-cheneys-plane/2007/02/25/1172338456055.html)

The plane then proceeded to the runway and took off, en route to the United States." (http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/mechanical-problems-hit-cheneys-plane/2007/02/25/1172338456055.html)

US media reports are stating that there was a generator problem (http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2007-02-25T041818Z_01_SP77534_RTRUKOC_0_US-CHENEY-PLANE.xml&WTmodLoc=NewsHome-C1-topNews-2) on the Vice President’s plane and that it was making a planned fueling stop in Singapore, but which the American White House is denying (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,254438,00.html) was diverted.

The concern of the American Military Generals regarding their Vice President stems from his plans to attack Iran (http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/world/2007-02/25/content_812886.htm), and which in an unprecedented move many of these Top United States Generals have threatened a mass resignation, and as we can read as reported by Britain’s Sunday Times News Service in their article titled "US generals ‘will quit’ if Bush orders Iran attack (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)", and which says:

"Some of America’s most senior military commanders are prepared to resign if the White House orders a military strike against Iran, according to highly placed defence and intelligence sources. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)

Tension in the Gulf region has raised fears that an attack on Iran is becoming increasingly likely before President George Bush leaves (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece) office. The Sunday Times has learnt that up to five generals and admirals are willing to resign rather than approve what they consider would be a reckless attack. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)

“There are four or five generals and admirals we know of who would resign if Bush ordered an attack on Iran,” a source with close ties to British intelligence said. “There is simply no stomach for it in the Pentagon, and a lot of people question whether such an attack would be effective or even possible.” (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)

A British defence source confirmed that there were deep misgivings inside the Pentagon about a military strike. “All the generals are perfectly clear that they don’t have the military capacity to take Iran on in any meaningful fashion. Nobody wants to do it and it would be a matter of conscience for them. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)

“There are enough people who feel this would be an error of judgment too far for there to be resignations.” (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)

A generals’ revolt on such a scale would be unprecedented." (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece)

This revolt by the American Generals against their War Leaders is eerily reminiscent of the General’s Revolt (http://century.guardian.co.uk/1940-1949/Story/0,,127654,00.html) against the German Nazi Leader Hitler in 1944, and which, likewise, included an attempt by the German Generals to kill their War Leaders.

These disturbing reports coming from America are also coming on the day that Israel has been reported to be seeking the permission (http://www.debka.com/headline.php?hid=3872) of the United States War Leaders to utilize Iraqi airspace for their planned Air Force attack upon Iran’s nuclear facilities, but which the Israeli government is denying.

FSB reports further note the apparent complicity of the American President in the attempt to have the US Military arrest his own Vice President by citing American media reports detailing the official planes controlled by the United States Military, and which say:

"But the Bush administration has a plane problem. One of President Bush's two 747 jets is going through a major maintenance overhaul, and two of the four 757 jets are also in maintenance. The president always needs a back-up plane, so he has taken one of the 757s. That just leaves one 757 for high-level officials like Vice President Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to share--and both had scheduled overseas trips this week." (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/blog/2007/02/21/BL2007022100673.html)

The American Military establishment has also threatened their War Leaders by releasing to the US propaganda media organs some of the most secret, and damning, evidences of past manipulation of their citizens through terror and intimidation, to include previously unreleased CIA video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNtMM6U62HM) of the assassination of the American President John F. Kennedy showing the alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, standing in a crowd of spectators seconds before he was supposed to have fired at the American President. (Note: Lee Harvey Oswald (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Harvey_Oswald), the former Russian KGB and American CIA agent can be plainly seen wearing the green sweater he was later wearing when arrested.)

Also released to the American propaganda media organs, by the US Military, were the evidences that the top levels of the FBI (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2007/220207gaggednichols.htm) were involved in the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oklahoma_City_bombing), and which afterwards began the enactment of a series of brutal laws that have resulted in the United States being turned into the Police State we see evidenced today in 2007

To the final outcome of these events involving the outbreak of hostilities between America’s ruling elite and their Military establishment it is not in our knowing, other than whatever may be the final outcome of this apparent showdown between these two powerful forces it bodes ill for the unsuspecting American people themselves.

You know, I just thought of something.....

Don't you think that an assassination attempt on the Vice President by the enemy we're supposedly trying to thwart would merit at least a little primetime attention by the T.V. media? The Taliban did take responsibility. Okay, I challenge anyone right now.... turn on Fox News or CNN, and tell me what they're covering. Dollars to doughnuts says it's the Anna Nicole saga.

Cheney treated at hospital for blood clot
Vice president experienced 'discomfort' following overseas trip

(GD HST: This confirms it. Somebody's after him.) :liverd:

WASHINGTON - Doctors discovered a blood clot in Vice President Dick Cheney's left leg Monday, a condition that could be fatal if left untreated.
The 66-year-old Cheney, who has a history of heart problems, will be treated with blood-thinning medication for several months, said spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride.

She said Cheney visited his doctor's office in Washington after feeling minor discomfort in his calf. An ultrasound showed the blood clot -- called a deep venous thrombosis -- in his left lower leg.

Blood clots that form deep in the legs can become killers if they break off and float into the lungs. This is called a pulmonary embolism. Deep vein thrombosis strikes an estimated 2 million Americans each year, killing 60,000.

Serious problem if untreated

Many people suffer DVT after spending long periods without moving, such as passengers on long-haul airline flights. Cheney spent about 65 hours on a plane on a nine-day, round-the-world trip that ended last week.

"When you're just sitting there with your legs hanging down for long periods of time, that's what predisposes you to the problem," said Sean O'Donnell, chief of vascular surgery of Washington Hospital Center.

"Treated properly, it poses a small threat," O'Donnell said. "Untreated and unrecognized, it's a very serious problem."

NBC correspondent David Bloom died in 2003 of a pulmonary embolism after spending days in a cramped military vehicle while covering the invasion of Iraq.

To fight DVT, airlines often encourage passengers to walk the aisles and wiggle their feet. But flying's not the only risk of DVT; it extends to anyone older than 60 or who has heart failure. Recent surgery, fractures, childbirth and taking birth control pills also can raise the risk.

Clots that form in the thigh are more likely to break off and migrate to the lungs than those that form elsewhere in the legs.

Vice president's troubled health history
Cheney returned to the White House after the medical exam and continued his work day.

"He'll maintain his regular schedule," McBride said. "He feels fine."

Cheney's health has long been an issue.

In 2005, he underwent six hours of surgery on his legs to repair a kind of aneurysm, a ballooning weak spot in an artery that can burst if left untreated.

He has had four heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery, two artery-clearing angioplasties and an operation to implant a special pacemaker in his chest.

Doctors initially treat DVT patients with an anticoagulant medicine called heparin. Heparin was long given intravenously but can sometimes now be injected in shot form. That can eliminate or shorten a hospital stay. DVT patients are then given the blood-thinning drug warfarin, which sometimes must be taken for months.
