While they show West Point in red on this map, what they don't show is Stewart Air Force Base (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stewart_Air_Force_Base), which is a few miles up the road.
My mother lives five minutes from Stewart...
So once i went to visit her, and for a change my head wasn't buried in a book as i sipped some Jack for the ride...everybody had debarked in Spring Valley so it was just me & the driver on the bus (no, not a Red & Tan). i bullshit you not---there's enough shit in West Point to take out quite a few small countries...and anyone who ever spent a day in Newburgh cannot help but seeing somethang like this:
